On site sewage treatment units - Part 1: Prefabricated septic tanks specifications
This Malaysian Standard specifies the requirements for prefabricated septic tanks and their associated fittings for the treatment of sewage for up to 30 population equivalents and installed below ground level as individual tank to serve one premise only. It does not cover the drainage systems leading to the tank, nor anything downstream of the tank outlet.
Two materials covered in this standard are fibreglass-reinforced plastic and polyethylene. Other materials which comply with the requirements of this standard may also be used.
This standard is intended for use by consultants, designers, manufacturers, certifying bodies, installers, regulators and other interested parties.
