METHOD OF TEST FOR DISTILLATION OF PETROLEUM PRODUCTS
This method covers the distillation of motor gasolines, aviation gasolines,
aviation turbine fuels, special boiling point spirits, naphthas, white
spirit, kerosenes, gas oils, distillate fuel oils, and similar petroleum
products.
NOTE 1. For the distillation of natural gasoline, see ASTM Method D21 6, ‘Test
for distillation of Natural gasoline tIP designation: 191 )‘. -
NOTE 2. For the distillation of aviation turbine fuels and other products of such
wide boiling range that the low distillation thermometer specified in group 3 of
table 1 is inadequate, this method may be applied by substituting the high distillation
thermometer, together with the other test conditions specified in group 3
(see 8.3).
