Electric cable and wire: 600/1 000 (Um = 1 200) V multi core PVC insulated cable - Armoured
This Malaysian Standard specifies the construction, dimension and test requirements of PVC insulated, PVC sheathed multi-core cables, armoured for operation at rated voltage 600/1 000 (1 200) V.
The cable as prescribe are generally use for low voltage, underground fixed installation system for the distribution network. It is not intended for use in prolonged water logged conditions and for specialised applications (e.g. welding, crane lifting, mines, aerial), which are covered by other Malaysian Standards, where applicable.
