WATER QUALITY - DETERMINATION OF THE GENOTOXICITY OF WATER AND WASTE WATER USING THE UMU-TEST (ISO 13829:2000, IDT)
This Malaysian Standard specifies a procedure which can be used to determine the genotoxicity¹) of water and waste water using the umu-test.
This assay is based on the detection of genotoxicity of a test sample which increases the expression of the SOSrepair system2) associated with the umuC-gene3).
