Stainless steels for general purposes - Part 2: Corrosion-resistant semi-finished products, bars, rods and sections

This Malaysian Standard specifies the technical delivery conditions for semi-finished products, hot formed bars, rods, and sections for general purposes made of the most important corrosion-resistant stainless steel grades.
NOTES:
1. Through this part of ISO 16143, the term “general purposes” other than the special purposes mentioned in the bibliography.
2. Heat-resistant steel grades can be found in ISO 4955 and they can be used for corrosion-resistant purposes.
In addition to this part of ISO 16143, the general technical delivery requirements of MS 1846 are applicable.
This part of ISO 16143 does not apply to components manufactured by further processing the product forms listed in the first paragraph above with quality characteristics altered as a result of such further processing.
