METHOD FOR THE EVALUATION
OF BIOLOGICAL EFFICACY OF
HOUSEHOLD SPACE SPRAY INSECTICIDAL
AEROSOL AGAINST FLYING INSECTS
- GLASS CHAMBER METHOD
1.1 This Malaysian Standard prescribes the method for evaluation of the biological efficacy
of insecticidal aerosol against mosquitoes and other flying insects by the use of glass chamber.
1.2 This method provides a satisfactory means of determining the relative efficacy of
aerosol formulations.
1 .3 As a biological test, it is subject to the variations that accompany the reactions of living
organisms. it should be employed under close supervision of personnel familiar with the
biological testing of insecticides.
1 .4 In order to measure the effectiveness with reasonable tolerance, the test is run in
conjunction with standard insecticidal aerosol.
