This Malaysian Standard provides road user with the route numbering system adopted by road authorities in this country. This standard focus on route numbering and guide signs used by road authorities in guiding road users to move from one destination to another.
The objectives of this standard are:
a) to provide information about the road custodian;
b) to provide information concerning route system;
c) to establish a uniform route numbering system; and
d) to provide information on the usage of guide signs.
