The adoption of the ISO Standard as a Malaysian Standard was recommended by the Working Group on Ambient Atmosphere and Meteorology under the authority of the Environmental Management Industry Standards Committee.
This Malaysian Standard is identical with ISO 10498:2004, Ambient air - Determination of sulfur dioxide - Ultraviolet fluorescence method, published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
