This Malaysian Standard Specification specifies a symbol recommended for use only to signify the actual or potential presence of ionizing radiation and to identify objects, devices, materials or combinations of materials which emit such radiation.For the purpose of this
Standard, ionizing radiation means X — and gamma rays, alpha and
beta particles; but not sound or radio wave, or visible, infra-red, or
ultra-violet light.
This Standard Specification does not specify the radiation levels at
which the symbols are to be used.
