This Malaysian Standard was developed by the Working Group on Paints and Varnishes
under the authority of the Chemical and Materials Industry Standards Committee.
This standard is equivalent to Iso 3856/7 : 1984 ‘Paints and Varnishes - Determination of
“soluble” metal content - Part 7 : Determination of mercury content of the pigment portion of
the paint and of the liquid portion of water-dilutable paints - Flameless atomic absorption
spectrometric method’ in technical content but different in presentation.
