LABORATORY COLONISATION OF INSECTS OF PUBLIC HEALTH IMPORTANCE - GUIDELINES
This Malaysian Standard prescribes the guidelines for the colonisation of insects of public health importance that should be employed in evaluating the biological efficacy of household insecticide products.
This standard provides satisfactory means of rearing test insects for evaluating household insecticide products against the respective MS Reference Products.
NOTE. The standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. Under the Destruction of Disease Bearing Insects Act 1975 (Amendment 2000), it is the responsibility of the user of this standard to obtain permit from the Ministry of Health, Malaysia prior to colonisation and establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
