Electric cable and wire: 600/1 000 (Um = 1 200) V single core XLPE insulated cable - Armoured
This Malaysian Standard specifies construction, dimension and test requirements of cross-linkedpolyethylene (XLPE) insulated single core cables, Armoured for operation at rated voltage 600/1 000 (1 200) V.
The cables as prescribe are generally use for low voltage, fixed installation system for distribution network. It is not intended for use in prolonged water logged conditions and for specialised applications (e.g. welding, crane lifting, mines, aerial), which are covered by other Malaysian Standards, where applicable.
