SPECIFICATION FOR MEASURING CUPS, SPOONS AND LITRE MEASURES FOR DOMESTIC PURPOSES
1.1 This Malaysian Standard specifies the requirements for metric cup measures, measuring spoons, fractional cup measures and litre measures.
1.2 This Malaysian Standard primarily applies to measuring devices used in the preparation of food in households, but is equally applicable to measuring devices used in the preparation of food in institutions such as hospitals and educational bodies. The measures are not intended for trade purposes.
1.3 The purpose of this Malaysian Standard is to provide uniformity among metric measuring devices which are purchased by consumers for the preparation of food.
