Compressed air work in tunnelling - Code of practice
This Malaysian Standard applies to all people employed in tunnelling, pipe-jacking and shaft and caisson-sinking operations carried out in compressed air, including the use of tunnel boring or shaft excavating machinery and similar operations, as part of construction work. The standard applies to all employers whose employees work in compressed air. This applies regardless of employment status and will include professional staff who may be working for, or on behalf of the client. This standard addresses issues such as safe systems of work, health surveillance, compression and decompression procedures, medical emergency response, emergency procedures, fire precautions, provision of information, instruction and training, and maintenance of health and exposure records.
