Rubber, vulcanized or thermoplastic - Determination of tear strength - Part 1: Trouser, angle and crescent test pieces (First revision) (ISO 34-1:2010, IDT)
MS ISO 34-1:2014
Status : Withdrawal with replacement
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard specifies three test methods for the determination of the tear strength of vulcanized or thermoplastic rubber, namely:

- method A, using a trouser test piece;
....Read more /> - method B, using an angle test piece, with or without a nick of specified depth;
- method C, using a crescent test piece with a nick.

The value of tear strength obtained depends on the shape of the test piece, speed of stretching, and temperature of test. It can also be susceptible to grain effects in rubber.

METHODS OR TESTING AGGREGATES : PART 9: METHODS FOR DETERMINATION OF TENPER CENT FINES VALUE (TFV) (FIRST REVISION)
MS 30: PART 9:1995 (CONFIRMED:2011)
Status : 1st Revision
Format : PDF

This Part of MS 30 describes methods for the determination of the ten per cent fines value (TFV)
of aggregates which gives a relative measure of the resistance of an aggregate to crushing under< ....Read more br /> a gradually applied compressive load.
Two procedures are described, one in which the aggregate is tested in a dry condition and the
other in a soaked condition.
The methods are applicable to both weak and strong aggregates passing a 14.0 mm test sieve
and retained on a 10.0 mm test sieve. For other size fractions, a recommended method is
described in Appendix A.

METHODS OF TESTING AGGREGATES : PART 10: METHODS FOR DETERMINATION OF AGGREGATE IMPACT VALUE (AIV) (FIRST REVISION)
MS 30: PART 10:1995 (CONFIRMED:2011)
Status : 1st Revision
Format : PDF

This Part of MS 30 describes methods for the determination of the aggregate impact
value (AIV) which gives a relative measure of the resistance of an aggregate to sudden
shock or impact.....Read more r /> Two procedures are described, one in which the aggregate is tested in a dry condition
and the other in a soaked condition.
The methods are applicable to aggregates passing at 14.0 mm test sieve and retained
on a 10.0 mm test sieve. For smaller size fractions, a recommended method is
described in Appendix A. Aggregate sizes larger than 14 mm are not appropriate to the
aggregate impact value test.

METHODS OF TESTING AGGREGATES: PART 8: METHODS FOR DETERMINATION OF AGGREGATE CRUSHING VALUE (ACV) (FIRST REVISION)
MS 30: PART 8:1995 (CONFIRMED:2011)
Status : 1st Revision
Format : PDF

This Part of MS 30 describes methods for the determination of the aggregate crushing
value (ACV) of aggregates which give a relative measure of the resistance of an
aggregate to crushing u ....Read more nder a gradually applied compressive load.
The methods are applicable to both weak and strong aggregates passing a 14.0 mm test
sieve and retained on a 10.0 mm test sieve. For other size fractions, a recommended
method is described in Appendix A.
The method is not suitable for testing aggregates with an aggregate crushing value
higher than 30, and in such cases the method for ten per cent fines value described in
MS 30 : Part 9 is applicable.

TESTING OF CONCRETE - PART 1: FRESH CONCRETE - SECTION 2: SLUMP TEST (SECOND REVISION)
MS 26-1-2:2009
Status : 2nd Revision
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard specifies a method for determining the consistency of fresh concrete by the slump test.

The slump test is sensitive to changes in the consistency of concrete which ....Read more correspond to slumps
between 10 mm and 200 mm. Beyond these extremes the measurement of slump can be unsuitable and other methods of determining the consistency should be considered.

If the slump continues to change over a period of 1 min after de-moulding, the slump test is not suitable as a measure of consistency.

The test is not suitable when the maximum size of aggregate in the concrete is greater than 40 mm.

TESTING OF CONCRETE - PART 1: FRESH CONCRETE - SECTION 8: COMPACTING FACTOR TEST (SECOND REVISION)
MS 26-1-8:2010
Status : 2nd Revision
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard specifies a method for determining the compacting factor of
concrete with low and medium workability. This method is used to determine the workability of
concrete w ....Read more hich is not covered by other means of workability test. The method applies to plain
and normal weight or heavy aggregates having a nominal maximum size of 40 mm or less.
The test is not suitable when the maximum size of aggregate in the concrete is greater than
40 mm, aerated concrete, no-fines concrete and concrete which cannot be compacted by
vibration alone.

TESTING OF CONCRETE - PART 1: FRESH CONCRETE - SECTION 1: SAMPLING (SECOND REVISION)
MS 26-1-1:2009
Status : 2nd Revision
Format : PDF

This Malaysian Standard specifies two procedures for sampling fresh concrete, by composite sampling and by spot sampling.

NOTE The requirement for remixing the sample before tests on the ....Read more fresh concrete, or before making test specimens, is included in the relevant standards.

When mixing and sampling of concrete is done in a laboratory, different procedures may be required.

TESTING OF CONCRETE - PART 1: FRESH CONCRETE - SECTION 4: DEGREE OF COMPACTABILITY (SECOND REVISION)
MS 26-1-4:2009
Status : 2nd Revision
Format : PDF

This Malaysian standard specifies a method for determining the consistency of fresh concrete by determining the degree of compactibility.

It is not applicable to concrete of which the max ....Read more imum size of aggregate exceeds 63 mm.

If the degree of compactability is less than 1,04 or more than 1,46, the concrete has a consistency for which the degree of compactability test is not suitable.

This Malaysian Standard specifies a method for determining the consistency of fresh concrete by means of the Vebe time.

It is not applicable to concrete of which the maximum size of aggre ....Read more gate exceeds 63 mm.

If the Vebe time is less than 5 s or more than 30 s, the concrete has a consistency for which the Vebe test is unsuitable.

TESTING OF CONCRETE - PART 1: FRESH CONCRETE - SECTION 7: AIR-CONTENT - PRESSURE METHODS (SECOND REVISION)
MS 26-1-7:2009
Status : 2nd Revision
Format : PDF

This Malaysian standard describes two methods for determination of air content of compacted fresh concrete, made with normal weight or relatively dense aggregate of maximum size 63 mm.

NO ....Read more TE: Neither method is applicable to concretes made with lightweight aggregates, air cooled blast-furnace slag, or aggregates with high porosity, because of the magnitude of the aggregate correction factor, compared with the entrained air content of the concrete. Close
