The adoption of the International Standard as a Malaysian Standard was recommended by the FMM - MIGMA Working Group and supervised by the Technical Committee on Gas Equipment and Appliances under the authority of the Mechanical Engineering Industry
Standards Committee. Adoption of this standard was carried out by the Federation of
Malaysian Manufacturers - Malaysian Industrial Gases Manufacturers Group which is the
Standards-Writing Organisation (SWO) appointed by SIRIM Berhad to develop standards for
the industrial gas industry in Malaysia
